# Byte Balance

> Byte Balance is an iPhone calorie and macro tracker. Log a meal from a photo, barcode, voice or search, and track your whole household on one Family plan.

- Platform: iPhone (iOS). Status: launching soon on the App Store (not yet available). No Android version yet.
- Logging: AI photo scan (review and adjust each item before saving), barcode scan, food search, recipe import from a link, one-tap re-logging, voice logging (Pro), and a nutrition chat that can log meals and water.
- Tracking: calories, protein, carbs, fat; water; weight and body measurements; intermittent-fasting timer; streaks, badges and insights; adaptive calorie target (Pro).
- Family: each household member joins with an invite code and has their own goals; shared meals are logged once and split in proportion to each person's calorie budget; household dashboard; Family plan covers up to 6 people.
- Languages: English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified). Arabic uses a full right-to-left layout.
- Nutrition guidance designed by a registered dietitian. General information, not medical advice.
- Pricing (launch pricing, USD, may change): Free plan; Pro $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial (also $9.99/month, $4.99/week, $99.99 lifetime); Family $79.99/year for up to 6 people. India: Pro ₹999/year, Family ₹1999/year.
- Not available yet: Apple Health or device sync, Android, in-app data export.
- Privacy: no ads, no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs, data not sold. AI requests go to Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude) with only the data needed.
