Byte Balance is an iPhone app for tracking calories and macros. You log meals by photo, barcode, voice, search or recipe link, and a whole household can track together on one Family plan. It is available in 7 languages.

Adults who want a faster way to track what they eat — especially people who cook and eat with others and want one plan for the household, and people who prefer an app in Arabic, Japanese, German, Spanish, French or Chinese.
When is Byte Balance available?

Is there an Android version?
Not yet — iPhone first.
Who designed the nutrition guidance?
The nutrition guidance in Byte Balance is designed by a registered dietitian. The app gives general information, not personal medical advice.
Logging and accuracy
How accurate is AI photo calorie counting?
Photo scanning is fast but it is an estimate: the AI identifies each food and estimates its portion from a single image, without weighing it. It is least reliable for oils, sauces, rice and mixed dishes. Byte Balance shows each item and its estimated weight so you can correct it before saving. We will publish our own accuracy test before quoting any accuracy figures.
Does Byte Balance work for home-cooked and regional dishes?
Yes, you can photograph any meal. For a dish you cook often, import the recipe from a link or save it once, then re-log it with one tap — that is more accurate than a photo each time.
Does it scan barcodes?
Yes. Scan a packaged food’s barcode to add its label nutrition.
Does it sync with Apple Health?
Not yet.

How much does Byte Balance cost?
Free to start. Pro is $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial; Family is $79.99/year for up to 6 people. These are launch prices and may change. See pricing.
How do I cancel?
In iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Byte Balance. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
Privacy
Does Byte Balance sell my data or show ads?
No. There are no ads and no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs in the app, and we don’t sell personal data. See the privacy policy.
What happens to my food photos?
A photo you scan is sent to an AI provider only to identify the food in it. We don’t use your photos to train AI models. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Email [email protected] from your account’s email address and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
